Fidelity Leathers was a very popular manufacturer of quality leather jackets in Boston, MA for police, military and civilians. Though not quite considered on par with the kings of American leather like Schott, their jackets were more affordable, surprisingly high quality and made of good hides, especially by today's standards. Their jackets were extremely popular with the heavy metal and biker crowds of New England. They are often misidentified as Schotts, as early Fidelity jackets bore only a single tag, describing their jackets as being made by "skilled craftsmen".
This jacket is DEADLY. In unheard of condition for a leather of its age, there are very few signs of wear here other than some light wear at the cuffs and patina on the brass hardware. Shockingly well-cared for leather, just enough break-in but still a touch of rigidity, good shine and very healthy. Rich dark brown leather in the style of a classic Perfecto biker jacket, with distinctive cross-zip styling. Multiple angled pockets with zippers and pulls, angled flap pocket, snap down lapels, epaulets and built-in snap close waist belt. Zippered sleeves with original Robin brand zippers. Original large pull Talon zipper at front closure. Accordion shoulders. Chain loop at collar. Fully lined with a vertical quilted insulated lining. Tagged size 38.
