The N-3B parka was born from its predecessor, the N3, in 1958 for U.S. aircrews stationed in extremely cold climates. It was often called the ‘Snorkel Parka’, as airmen could zip it closed past their noses, leaving just a small hole to see out of, like a snorkel. The parka's design was modified slightly over the years, as different fabrics and insulation were used, but it has remained one of the best and most sought after cold weather coats.

This N-3B is from 1959 and has a 50/50 cotton and nylon shell with polyester insulation and a faux-fur trimmed, mouton lined hood. The classic 3/4 length, four pocket design is one of the most functional parka designs for Canadian winters; interior drawstrings makes the waist adjustable, pockets are large and lined for warmth and easy access, raglan sleeves ease movement and the hood is deep, keeping biting wind at bay. Original Talon zipper with leather pull.

Marked size Large. Great condition with all buttons and zippers working and no holes. Pink/purple staining on left sleeve (We can patch in store if needed)

Beautiful back number stamping!
